New GAP Year fruit picking becomes the new 'schoolies'




We are excited to have launched the New GAP Year as part of our Thankful4Farmers initiative. Border closures have resulted in a national skilled labour shortage and many regional communities and businesses desperately need workers.


Thankful4Farmers Ambassador, Matt Moran hosted the NSW Deputy Premier, Paul Toole, the NSW Govt Skills and Training Minister Geoff Lee and the Thankful4Farmers team at his farm to launch the New GAP Year.

We are partnering with the NSW Summer Skills program who offer thousands of free training courses for young Aussies who are sick of lock down and want to get outta town.

Giving them the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, have an adventure of a lifetime and support regional and rural Australia.
